Video Marketing Vs Article Marketing Vs Social Media Strategies By Andy Medlam

Who could have imagined that the corporate world would, one day, grow so fertile in its marketing approaches that the methods, emblematic of intellectual elite and fun-loving populace, would one day exceed, from infotainment, to become a sine quo non for its survival. Yes, that day has come. Amongst the most recent marketing techniques that have become the darling of corporate world are the video marketing, article marketing, and social marketing. Here arises a fundamental question that why should these marketing tactics be used keeping in consideration that these, virtually, stand in contrast to each other.

The first part of the question pertains to why social media marketing should be used as a tool for marketing and where does it stand in comparison to the above mentioned two other types of marketing. The reasons, advocating the use of social media marketing, are multiple. Social media websites are, fundamentally, the networking websites where the users can assemble as groups. There are just a very few social networking sites which are popular.

One of these sites, Facebook.com, has more than 500 million users. Other social networking sites, which are relatively less popular, have more than 80 million visitors. In short, the social networking sites have visitors in the sphere of 600 million; providing the biggest market that a company can ever think of. Not only this, the marketing through social networking sites can be done without even spending a penny. Feedback is one of the other major benefits of social media marketing as the users of the networking sites can easily comment on the post after having seen these on their walls.

Article marketing is the other type of marketing technique, under our microscope. Article marketing, unlike social media marketing, is relatively an expensive technique. The reason underlying this is the fact that most of the corporate companies shall need to hire writers, mainly, to write tens of articles for them-the articles which are going to be their mouthpieces on the internet. Though expensive, but article marketing has one benefit due to why article marketing has become extremely successful before it can made the corporate companies extremely successful. This is because articles are far swift to grab the trust of the client. When written in simple and informative style, the reader starts trusting the source of information. In the climax of this trust, comes the name of the company whom he prefers to visit, in the flow of reading. Besides, article marketing plays a very substantial role in the search engine optimization of the company's website.

The third type of marketing, under discussion, is video marketing. Video marketing, unlike the other two types of marketing discussed above, is, relatively, expensive. Video marketing entails making of videos before these are uploaded on various websites, which may or may not include the company's own website. These videos carry a text on these marketing the company or brand these belong to. Making of videos, of course, costs some money. Why video marketing should be preferred when the other two types of marketing methods are available and cost less, is the question in the minds of most of the people. The reason for this is that people love watching videos more than they love reading as watching video is more convenient. Estimates show, by com Score Media Metrix, that more than 138 million Americans watch more than 9.5 videos each month on the popular video site called Youtube.com. Besides, video has a long lasting impact on the minds of viewers, resulting in success of video marketing.

Therefore, it can hardly be argued that any one of these techniques of marketing is better than the other two. Rather, it merely depends on the budget the company has for the purpose of marketing-an essential contributor to the success of any business entity.
